Smith Valve was founded in in 1956 as a manufacturing company that produced check, glove and forged gate valves for petrochemical refineries. Decades later they added stainless steal, alloy and forged brass ball valves to their product line.

The company has gone undergone major overhauls, changing hands three times since it was sold by the original owners in the late 80s, yet despite its financial difficulties of the past the Smith Valve brand has remained respected throughout its industry.

Though many investments have been made to improve the Smith Valve manufacturing and engineering process, the basic design concept and unique color coding system has remained virtually unchanged for the past 60 years.

Quality

Smith has been one of the oldest producers of API 602 forged steel valves today.  The flow control products they make are uses in many petrochemical, refinery and oil and gas industries in many different countries.

All of their standard globe, gate and check valves are made under a fully certified ISO 9001 Quality Management System to ensure all of them are high quality.
